Fleeing To Jakarta Due To Corruption At PUPR Maluku, Commissioner Of PT Inti Artha Nusantara Presumes Exposed To COVID-19

AMBON - One suspect in the alleged corruption case of funds for the construction of a city park and parking lot at the Office Public Works And Housing (PUPR) of the Tanimbar Islands Regency, Maluku was arrested by the Arrest of Fugitives team (Tabur) of the Attorney General's Office together with the Maluku High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati).

"The suspect with the initials HH alias Hartanto (58) has been arrested by the Tabur team on H Suaib I street, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta since September 3, 2021, and has been brought to Ambon today," said Head of Law Information and Public Relations of the Maluku Attorney General's Office, Wahyudi Kareba in Ambon, Antara, Sunday, September 5th.

Hartono is a Commissioner of PT Inti Artha Nusantara. He was arrested after being repeatedly summoned by the Maluku Attorney General's Office for questioning as a suspect.

According to Wahyudi, the suspect always uses various excuses to avoid being summoned by the prosecutor, such as the reason for seeking legal counsel to being exposed to COVID-19.

Since the beginning, the Maluku Attorney General's Office has known where the suspect lives, namely at Kendang Sari YKP street 2/6 RT 001, Tenggilis Mejoyo District, Surabaya City (East Java), and another address in Jakarta.

In a case worth Rp 4.5 billion, the PT IAN boss was named a suspect along with three suspects who are currently languishing in the Ambon Class II Rutan, namely Head of the KKT PUPR Service Andrianus Sihasale, Wilma Fenanlampir as PPTK, and Frans Yulianus Pelamonia as supervisor.

The City Park project in the Tanimbar Islands Regency uses budget sources from the Tanimbar Islands Regional Budget for the 2017 Fiscal Year.

Based on the results of the BPKP RI's audit of the Maluku Province Representative, as a result of the actions of the defendants, the state suffered losses of up to Rp1.38 billion.
