Three Days Against COVID-19, Doctor At Metro Lampung Hospital Dies

JAKARTA - Doctor Soeradi Soedjarwo Sp.S. who served at the General Ahmad Yani Hospital Metro, Lampung Province, died on Sunday, August 29, at around 21.15 WIB due to being infected with COVID-19 and other comorbidities.

"We have lost one health worker, namely Dr. Soeradi Soedjarwo Sp.S. on Sunday, August 29, at 21.15 WIB, and based on the test results, the deceased was declared positive for COVID-19", said Head of the Metro City Health Office, Drg. Erla Andrianti in Metro, reported by Antara, Monday, August 30.

He explained that he was admitted to General Ahmad Yani Hospital on August 26, 2021. After receiving treatment for three days at the hospital, Dr. Soeradi was declared dead.

Apart from being infected with COVID-19, he said, Dr. Soeradi has a history of heart disease, asthma, and diabetes mellitus.

Metro Mayor Wahdi Siradjuddin paid his last respects and released the body of Dr. Soeradi Soedjarwo, Sp.S. at the General Ahmad Yani Metro Hospital for burial.

"I am here to convey to the deceased's colleagues, to the deceased's comrades in arms, that he is a person we love very much, who has also served at General Ahmad Yani Metro Hospital. During this pandemic, he is still handling and working on what he has learned so far", he said.

Wahdi advised the doctors, nurses, health workers as a whole, and the extended family of the deceased to maintain their health and of course always pray.

"We, on behalf of the Metro City Government, thank you for the immeasurable dedication to the deceased and also the family who always accompanied the deceased during his life, and we always pray that the deceased is placed in the best place by Allah SWT for his charity and worship", he said.
