NTT Police Chief Forms A Special Team To Investigate Allegations Of Prokes Violations In Semau Which Was Attended By Governor Viktor Laiskodat
JAKARTA - East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Lotharia Latif, has formed a special team to investigate cases of alleged prokes violations that went viral on social media during the inauguration of the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD) in Semau on Friday, August 27.
"Regarding the alleged viral video on Semau Island, the NTT Police Chief has formed a team and then ordered the team to move", said Head of Public Relations of the NTT Police, Kombes Rishian Krisna B, to reporters in Kupang, reported by Antara, Monday, August 30.
The former Head of the North Central Timor (TTU) Police said that the team formed on Monday. August 30 today began to move to communicate and coordinate with the COVID-19 task force.
The communication and coordination were carried out, he continued, to obtain accurate data and information related to the viral video of the alleged violation of health protocols in Semau Island which later became a serious concern from the Police Chief.
"It's just starting to coordinate and communicate, so we'll just have to wait for the results, we'll report back later", he said.

It was previously reported that a viral video on social media showed crowds and alleged violations of health protocols during the inauguration of the NTT Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD) on Friday, August 27 at Otan Tourism Beach, Otan Village, Semau District, Kupang Regency.
The event was attended by NTT Governor Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat, NTT Deputy Governor Josef Nae Soi and almost all Regents and Mayors throughout NTT.
The event was also attended by a number of local artists and several regional heads actually sang along without paying attention to health protocols.
Meanwhile, Antara reporters tried to visit the Bank NTT office as the organizer to ask for information regarding the alleged health protocol.
Director-General of Bank NTT, Yohanis Landu Praing, when intercepted at the entrance to the Bank NTT office evaded when interviewed.
