KPK Secures 10 People in Hand Arrest Operation in Probolinggo Regency
JAKARTA - Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, stated that 10 people, including the Regent of Probolinggo, Puput Tantriana Sari, were involved in the Hand Arrest Operation (OTT) in Probolinggo Regency, East Java. This activity was carried out on Sunday, August 29 in the morning.
"So far, about 10 people have been detained, including the regional head, several civil servants from the Probolinggo Regency Government, and other related parties", Ali told reporters on Monday, August 30.
He said the party caught in the silent operation was still in East Java and was being questioned. Furthermore, Ali said that the KPK had 1x24 hours to determine the fate of all those arrested.
"We will always inform the public about its developments", he said.

As previously reported, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri asked the public to be patient regarding the disclosure of the alleged crime that started in OTT in Probolinggo, East Java. The former deputy for the prosecution of the Corruption Eradication Commission stated that investigators are still working.
"Please give us time to work. In due course, the KPK will provide a complete explanation after the collection of information and evidence has been completed", Firli told reporters, Monday, August 30.
According to him, currently, the Director of Investigation of the KPK and the task force team are still working to investigate the alleged riot. Firli emphasized that his subordinates worked based on the adequacy of evidence.
"We work based on evidence. And it is with this evidence that we can explain a criminal incident and find a suspect", he said.
