The Feasibility Study Of Formula E Has Not Been Submitted To The Regional House of Representatives, PDIP: It's Like Something Was Covered Up

JAKARTA - Member of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives, Ima Mahdiah, admitted that she was surprised that until now the DKI Provincial Government had not submitted the results of the revised feasibility study for the implementation of Formula E to the Regional House of Representatives.

The feasibility study was made by the BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the executor of the activity. The study includes the number of expenditure costs to DKI Jakarta's income from the Formula E event.

Ima said this was one of the reasons why 33 board members from the PDIP and PSI factions proposed an interpellation to the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan.

"During the meeting, we asked about a feasibility study. So far, nothing has been given. They have also never been open about the MoU", Ima told reporters, Thursday, August 26.

In fact, said Ima, the Regional House of Representatives continues to ask for the results of the Formula E feasibility study so that it can analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the implementation taking into account the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, until now, the DKI Provincial Government and PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as Formula E organizers seem indifferent to the Regional House of Representatives request.

"Actually, the feasibility study isn't difficult, right, because it has cost a lot. In my opinion, it's like something is being covered up like it's not transparent", said Ima.

"We, as representatives of the people, were not informed, especially the people of DKI Jakarta who were completely ignorant. Therefore, we hold the mandate of the residents of DKI Jakarta to ask the Governor of DKI", she explained.

Separately, PT Jakarta Propertindo's Project Director of Sportainment, M. Maulana, said that currently a feasibility study for the implementation of Formula E is still being prepared. "Everything is being prepared with the relevant parties", Maulana said in a short message.

It is known that Jakpro had previously prepared a feasibility study when applying for regional capital participation (PMD) to the Regional House of Representatives. However, the study needs to be refined by including considerations of the COVID-19 pandemic in it.
