Anies Holds Paid Mutual Cooperation Vaccinations For Foreigners, The Price Is IDR 700.000

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan together with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) held a Gotong Royong (Mutual Cooperation) vaccination for foreign nationals (WNA) at DKI City Hall.

In his review, Anies said that foreigners who were vaccinated today had registered with companies participating in the vaccination program with the paid scheme.

"We, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, are cooperating with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry together to reach out to the international community working in Jakarta. Apart from being the capital city of Indonesia, this is also the capital city of ASEAN and the center of business activities, businesses with many international companies", said Anies, Tuesday, August 24.

Anies said that the DKI Provincial Government facilitated 1.000 foreigners to be vaccinated. So far, 356 foreigners have registered. The mutual cooperation vaccination for foreigners uses the Sinopharm vaccine, which is paid for by the company.

"This Mutual Cooperation vaccine program is paid for, the value is IDR 700 thousand. It is different from other vaccines from Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Moderna, and Pfizer which are prepared free of charge by the government", said Anies.

Anies admitted that he had talked with foreigners who participated in the Gotong Royong vaccination. Anies said that they are grateful for this vaccination program.

This is because they cannot participate in the government's free vaccination program. Meanwhile, they need vaccinations as a condition for traveling back to their country.

"I had a chat with some, they came here. Some are from Africa, this is the first time to Indonesia, coming in March. Just when the pandemic spiked and after that, he could not return to his country", said Anies.

"So, since March, he has not been able to travel in Indonesia until now, cannot go home. And finally, he got the vaccine today, hopefully, it can be a means to go home to see his family again after a year of waiting", he continued.
