Police Suspect RAG Involved In Network Of Homemade Firearms Suppliers

JAKARTA – The arrest of RAG (32) seems to open the way for the police to dismantle a network of firearms suppliers against criminals using rifles, which has often happened so far. However, they are still searching for the suspect.

Tebet Police Chief, Kompol Alexander Yurikho, said that his party was still conducting RAG, a former bank employee who was recently arrested for selling firearms online. Alexander also said that the RAG rifles were not arbitrary, they were included in the manufacturer category.

"Investigators are still investigating", he told VOI, Friday, August 20.

Alexander revealed that the involvement of the perpetrator selling homemade rifles with other crimes was still being investigated while waiting for additional information to reveal the findings.

"The Tebet Police are open to getting information from any source here. Because the initial modus operandi of the perpetrators is defined as a means of self-defense", he said.

Meanwhile, said Alexander, the suspect admitted that he was just trying to get the gun to be assembled.

"This is a new confession, that's why it's still being investigated", he said.

He also appealed to the public to remain careful in every activity outside the home to avoid crime.

"If you find a criminal act, don't hesitate to report it to the Tebet Police", he said.
