KPK Investigate Allegations Of Corruption And Gratification At Banjarnegara PUPR Service

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is currently investigating cases of alleged corruption and gratuities related to the contracting, procurement, or rental of projects at the Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office of the Banjarnegara Regency Government in 2017-2018.

However, the anti-corruption commission has not yet detailed the chronology of the alleged corruption and who has been named as a suspect in this case.

"KPK is currently carrying out investigations into allegations of corruption, participating in chartering, procurement, or leasing at the PUPR Office of the Regency Government in 2017-2018 and receiving gratuities," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri to reporters, Monday, August 9.

He said the announcement of the suspects, as well as the chronology, would be explained when the determination was made, followed by the detention of the suspects. Thus, Ali asked the public to give KPK investigators time to complete their tasks first.

"KPK will definitely convey to the public the details of the construction of the case, what evidence is there, and who has been named a suspect along with the article on the suspicion," he said.

"Of course we hope that the public understands this legal process and gives time for the KPK investigators to complete their duties first," Ali added.

Even so, he promised any developments related to the handling of information would be conveyed. Ali also asked the public to support and supervise each process of investigating the alleged corruption and gratification.

"Every development of information related to the handling of this case will be further informed and we need the support of community participation to actively participate in supervising every process," he concluded.
