Sad News From Indonesian Doctors Association OF Lampung, One Doctor Dies Due To COVID-19, The Total Is 6 People

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) of Lampung, Dr. Asep Sukohar, M. Kes, confirmed that one doctor in this province died due to being infected with COVID-19.

"Yes, that's right, Dr. Aswedi Putra, Sp.OT, FICS. The Orthopedic and Traumatology Specialist who served at Urip Sumoharjo Hospital died due to exposure to COVID-19", said Asep Sukohar, in Bandar Lampung, reported by Antara, Monday, July 26.

He also said that the late Dr. Aswedi had received treatment for several days at the Abdoel Moeloek Regional General Hospital.

"Of course, I lost with the death of the person concerned, because during his lifetime, Doctor Aswedi was known as a person who was sociable, energetic, easy to get along with, and joined in various organizations", he said.

He also said that with the death of Dr. Aswedi, up to now, six doctors in Lampung Province have died due to COVID-19.

"So in 2021, six doctors have died due to the Coronavirus, so I also ask my friends to tighten health protocols and personal protective equipment while on duty because the risk of exposure is always there", he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of General Affairs, Urip Sumoharjo Hospital, Lia Amelia, said that dr. Aswedi Putra, Sp.OT, FICS died around 01.00 WIB in the morning at Abdoel Moeloek Regional General Hospital.

"Yes, the person concerned died early this morning. The information we received was that Dr. Aswedi died due to COVID-19", she said.
