Still Confused About The Cause Of The Fire, BPOM Handed It Over To The Police
JAKARTA - The Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) has submitted an investigation into the cause of the fire that hit one of the service rooms, Sunday evening, July 18, to the local police team.
"The fire occurred at around 21.30 WIB on the 1st floor of Building F West of BPOM Jakarta," said BPOM's written confirmation, in Jakarta, Monday, July 19 morning, and confirmed to BPOM's Public Relations officer, Herma.
The statement stated that moments before the fire broke out, a number of officers were working on rejuvenating the electrical panels in one of the rooms. "The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Johar Baru Sector Police, Central Jakarta," he said as reported by Antara.
Herma ensured that the incident did not interfere with the function of BPOM's services to the community and various related parties.
At around 22.00 WIB, Herma said, the fire had been successfully extinguished by involving eight fire fighting vehicles and nine supporting cars from the Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency.
BPOM confirmed that the fire did not cause any casualties. The damage occurred in one room. "Do not interfere with service functions at BPOM," he said.
BPOM would like to thank all parties, especially the firefighters and local police who moved quickly to extinguish the fire and secure the situation at the fire site.
