10 Million Doses Of Sinovac From China Have Been Added, Minister Of Health Is Sure To Meet The Target Of 2 Million Vaccinations Per Day
JAKARTA - Indonesia has returned to stock vaccines today. A total of 10.000.280 doses of Sinovac vaccine in the form of raw materials (bulk) have just arrived at Soekarno Hatta Airport.
"Today, July 12, 2021, we have another 10.000.280 doses of Sinovac vaccine raw materials. Including overfill or extra 10 and 1 RKN reagent", said Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin in a virtual press conference, Monday, July 12.
Budi said that the arrival of 10 million doses of Sinovac raw materials would increase the number of Sinovac vaccines in the form of raw materials. Thus, the total Sinovac vaccine that has been secured by Indonesia is currently 115.500.280 doses.
"(The vaccine in the form of raw materials) will be processed by Bio Farma. In the next month, we will have 93 million doses of vaccine to become Sinovac", he said.
Furthermore, Budi said that currently, the government is accelerating vaccinations so that group immunity is immediately built. Moreover, President Joko Widodo has set a target of 2 million vaccines per day in August.
"Acceleration of vaccination is one part of the government's efforts to overcome the spike in cases that are currently happening", said Budi.

Then, according to him, the implementation of health protocols and tightening community activities through the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) and Micro-scale PPKM policies, as well as 3T health protocols strengthening, is not complete if vaccination activities do not go well.
Vaccination, said Budi, complements efforts to reduce the rate of transmission quickly and control the pandemic much better, apart from maintaining discipline in health protocols and complying with government policies such as Emergency PPKM.
"Therefore, let the community work together with the government to make the vaccination program a success. The best vaccine is the one that is already available. Let's hurry up with vaccination to accelerate the achievement of communal immunity", he concluded.
