JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has decided to postpone the launch of the Nusa Tembini train with the Yogyakarta-Cilacap route which is planned to be carried out on July 2, 2021.
Vice President of KAI Public Relations, Joni Martinus, said that this step was taken taking into account the increasing COVID-19 pandemic. For this reason, his party will review when the time is right for the launch.
This effort is also called as part of supporting government programs in order to suppress the spread of Covid-19 in the community.
"We apologize to the public who have been waiting for the presence of the Nusa Tembini train. We will immediately announce it to the public regarding the launch of the Nusa Tembini train if conditions begin to improve", he said as reported by the official website, Wednesday, June 30.
Joni ensures that for people who have purchased tickets, the fee will be returned 100 percent. The cancellation process can be carried out up to D+30 from the date stated on the ticket at all stations that serve ticket sales, both long-distance trains and local trains.

For the time being, he continued, people who want to travel on the Yogyakarta-Cilacap (round-trip) route can still use the Wijayakusuma train which has the Cilacap - Ketapang (round-trip) route.
"People who have purchased tickets will also be contacted by Contact Center 121 regarding the ticket cancellation process", concluded Joni.
