Wanting To Spit On Anies Becomes Viral, Commissioner Of Askrindo Kemal Arsjad Apologizes: Hospitals In DKI Jakarta Are Full, Making Me Frustrated
JAKARTA - Last weekend, the Independent Commissioner of the Indonesian Credit Insurance BUMN or Askrindo, Kemal Arsjad, caused an uproar in the Twitter world through his tweet. Kemal "caught" netizens tweeting their frustration with the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, and eventually went viral on social media.
In the deleted tweet, Kemal said he would spit on Anies Baswedan if they met. Kemal's tweet was in response to a news report about Anies claiming that DKI Jakarta was still able to accommodate COVID-19 patients.
"Oh… truly ****. When I meet you, I will spit on your face," said Kemal Arsjad.
Although the tweet has been deleted, many have captured the expression of Kemal's frustration with the former Minister of Education and Culture. Various pros and cons also emerged from netizens, many of whom regretted the words of the film producer, because his current position is a commissioner of a BUMN.
Realizing that his tweet was causing controversy, he deleted the tweet and made an apology note on his Twitter account. In the note, he explained why he was upset that he threw harsh words at Anies Baswedan.

"Thank you dear friends who have reminded and taught me a lesson. For that, please accept my apologies. Hopefully, the Covid storm will pass quickly and we will all be healthy," he tweeted, quoted Monday, June 29.
Kemal said that the beginning of his anger was when a family member tested positive for COVID-19 but did not get a treatment room because the majority of hospitals in Jakarta were full. Immediately, he read the news about Anies which stated that there were still treatment rooms left in Jakarta.
"As a result, my emotions were provoked. Considering that many close relatives have not received treatment with poor CT status. I realize that I should be able to restrain myself. And for that, I apologize profusely if any of my friends feel offended by my tweet," he added.
Kemal Arsjad himself was appointed by SOE Minister Erick Thohir as Askrindo's Independent Commissioner in January 2020. Kemal's appointment was based on the Decree of the Minister of BUMN Number: SK-18/MBU/01/2021, dated January 18, 2021.
