PALANGKA RAYA - Mayor of Palangka Raya Fairid Naparin said, cases of infection with the Delta variant of the Coronavirus have not been found in the Palangka Raya area so far.
"Until now, we haven't and hopefully there won't be. However, research will continue to be carried out in Litbangkes and if there are developments, we will inform you immediately", said Fairid in Palangka Raya, the capital city of Central Kalimantan Province, reported by Antara, Saturday, June 26.
However, Mayor Fairid still asks the public to be vigilant. He advised residents to be disciplined in implementing health protocols to avoid the transmission of COVID-19, including new virus variants.
"The emergence of this Delta variant must be addressed by further tightening the application of health protocols, so it is not easy to contract the variant,"
"Always wear a mask when leaving the house, avoid crowds, keep your distance, and always wash your hands with soap or use hand sanitizer", said Mayor Fairid.
