Potential Failure In The 2024 Presidential Election, Observer: Prabowo Still Weak Against Anies And Ganjar

JAKARTA - Executive Director of Surveylink Indonesia (Sulindo) Wempy Hadir assesses that the efforts of the Minister of Defense and General Chair of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto, to garner support through meetings with a number of political figures will not succeed in smoothing his steps to win the 2024 presidential election contestation.

The reason is, despite always being at the top of the highest electability standings in various survey results, Prabowo is still weak when compared to the two new figures.

"If we look at several survey results from various survey institutions, Prabowo's position is actually very weak compared to the two new figures," said Wempy, Thursday, June 24.

The new figures are Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan. It is known, both of them are figures who are hotly discussed by the public as presidential candidates.

Wempy said that until now the results of Ganjar and Anies' survey were able to follow Prabowo, who has participated in the presidential election contestation many times.

"Ganjar Pranowo, he is a new figure in the presidential election contestation, but he is able to side by side with Prabowo, who has repeatedly advanced in the presidential election," said Wempy.

As is known, in the last few days Prabowo was seen as garnering support by meeting with a number of figures, such as West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil and senior economist Rizal Ramli.

According to Wempy, when Prabowo was a guest speaker on the podcast, Deddy Corbuzier also seemed to want to show his desire to run for the presidential election.
