27 State Civil Servants Exposed To COVID-19, Bogor City Hall Temporarily Closed

BOGOR - Bogor Mayor Bima Arya decided to temporarily close the city hall complex for a week after it was found that 27 state civil servants (ASN) within the Bogor City Government were confirmed positive for COVID-19. Bima Arya said the city hall complex would be closed from Wednesday, June 23.

"The Bogor City Government Headquarters and several other service offices within the Bogor City Government will be sterilized over the next week," said the Head of the Bogor City COVID-19 Task Force, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, June 22.

According to him, during the temporary closure of the Bogor City Hall Complex, ASN will work from home or WFH.

Bima Arya explained as many as 27 ASN who were exposed to COVID-19 came from eight regional apparatus organizations (OPD) within the Bogor City Government.

"To prevent more ASN from being exposed to COVID-19, I have instructed the city hall and several service offices to be temporarily closed. The ASN work from home", he said.

The solution that was carried out for several offices that were also temporarily closed was the One-Stop Integrated Service and Investment Service (DPMPTSP) whose services were carried out online. The Department of Population and Civil Registration provides services through the sub-district office.

During the temporary closure, the city hall complex and several other offices were sprayed with disinfectant by officers from the Bogor City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) for sterilization.

"Other offices within the Bogor City Government have adjusted their working hours for ASN", he said.

A total of 27 ASN within the Bogor City Government were exposed to COVID-19, after a spike in COVID-19 cases in Bogor City since last week.

Bima Arya said that there were two reasons for the surge in COVID-19 cases in Bogor City, namely from out-of-town clusters and family clusters. "This family cluster, when dissected again, also comes from an out-of-town cluster, namely Bogor City residents who work outside the city and are infected with COVID-19", he said.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Bogor City, Bima Arya reminded all residents to reduce mobility, avoid crowds and always implement strict health protocols.
