Papuan Police Explore All Parties Regarding The Flow Of Funds For The Purchase Of KKB Weapons, Including The Chairman Of The Talikora Regional House of Representatives

JAKARTA - The Papuan Police confirmed that they would investigate all parties without exception in the investigation of the supplier of funds for the purchase of weapons by the armed criminal group (KKB), Ratius Murib aka Nelson Murib.

An examination was also carried out on the chairman of the Tolikara Regional House of Representatives, Sonny Wanimbo.

"Anyone suspected of being involved in the case will be questioned", said Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal in his statement, Friday, June 18.

In the investigation, continued Kamal, Nelson Murib, will be brought to the Papua Regional Police. A series of examinations will be carried out to thoroughly investigate the mastermind behind the case.

"For this case, the suspect's plan will be brought to the Regional Police for handling by the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Regional Police", he said.

Previously reported, the Papuan Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri said RM aka NM (26) who was arrested at Mulia Airport, Puncak Jaya Regency was looking for firearms and ammunition for the armed criminal group (KKB) led by Lekagak Telenggen.

"RM has confessed to investigators, including the flow of funds obtained to buy rifles and ammunition", said Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri, in Jayapura, Tuesday, June 15.

When asked about the origin of the money secured with RM, the Papuan Police Chief said that RM got the money from someone who is currently still being investigated by investigators.

"Regarding the flow of funds held by RM, it is still under investigation. Further developments will be informed again", said the Papua Police Chief.
