Viral Men Confess To Police: KTA Buys IDR 2 Million, To Be Safe On The Road

JAKARTA - The police said that the National Police membership card (KTA) used by the man with the initials AHH was suspected to be fake. Because from the examination of the KTA it was bought from someone for IDR 2 million.

"His membership card (KTA) was also acknowledged as a National Police ID card and an ID card he bought from someone for IDR 2 million", said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Yusri Yunus, to reporters on Wednesday, June 16.

However, Yusri has not been able to mention the identity of the person who sold the KTA. Because they are still investigating.

However, the results of the temporary examination of the man admitted that he bought the KTA to be safe while driving. Because, he thought, if he pointed out the KTA, the officers would not take action against him.

"If you drive a vehicle, it's enough to just show us we'll be safe", said Yusri.

"But we are still exploring other possibilities whether there are other modes or other motives", continued Yusri.

Previously, it was reported that a viral video on social media showed a man with the initials AHH being arrested for allegedly using a fake vehicle number plate. In fact, when he was acted upon, the man claimed to be a member of the police.

In the video uploaded to the @forumwartawanpolri account, it appears that the man is driving a white Xenia car with plate number B 2355 TKI. The prosecution is said to have taken place at the Kuningan Toll Road towards Semanggi, Jakarta.

From the results of the examination, AHH is not a member of the Police. Instead, only private employees.
