Viral Men Confess To Police, Metro Jaya Police: Results Of Examination Of Private Employees

JAKARTA - The police said that the man with the initials AHH who went viral for showing his membership card (KTA) when he was acted upon by traffic officers was not a member of the Police. Because of the results of the examination, he is only a private employee.

"The results of the initial investigation show that AHH is a private person and not a member of the National Police", said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Yusri Yunus, to reporters on Wednesday, June 16.

With the acknowledgment and ownership of the allegedly fake KTA, continued Yusri, AHH underwent an intensive examination by the General Criminal Directorate. This is because it is a violation of criminal law.

"Right now, we are still investigating the AHH (because) there is a dispute in Article 263 of the Criminal Code," said Yusri.

Meanwhile, the issue of using vehicle number plates is still being investigated. This is because vehicle number B 2355 TKI is strongly suspected to be fake.

"We are still investigating whether this fake vehicle number is a genuine vehicle or not, we must first check the chassis number and engine number to be checked", said Yusri.

Previously, it was reported that a viral video on social media showed a man with the initials AHH being arrested for allegedly using a fake vehicle number plate. In fact, when he was acted upon, the man claimed to be a member of the police.

In the video uploaded to the @forumwartawanpolri account, it appears that the man is driving a white Xenia car with plate number B 2355 TKI. The prosecution is said to have taken place at the Kuningan Toll Road towards Semanggi, Jakarta.
