Face-To-Face Learning Trial In Jakarta Only Involving Grades 4 And 5

JAKARTA - Duri Kepa 03 State Elementary School, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta is one of those participating in the face-to-face learning trial (PTM) today. The PTM is carried out on 5th-grade students.

In class, students who take the PTM are only 50 percent of the total students in one class. Laying each student's desk is done apart.

Students with absent numbers 1 to 16 study face-to-face, while absent numbers 17 to 32 are still learning online. On the other hand, on Friday, grade 5 students with absent numbers 17 to 32 studied face-to-face, while absentee numbers 1 to 16 studied online.

"On Monday and next Wednesday, the PTM will continue to grade 4 with the same capacity distribution. Then the following Friday will alternate, and so on", said the Principal of SDN Duri Kepa 03 Sri Sumiati at the location, Wednesday, June 9.

Meanwhile, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, lessons are not held at schools. All students study online. At that time, the school was cleaned using a liquid disinfectant.

Sri explained the reason why her school only applies the PTM to students in grades 4 and 5. According to her, elementary students in grades 1, 2, and 3 have not been able to participate in PTM by observing health protocols. Then, grade 6 students are no longer taking lessons because they are just waiting for graduation.

"In grades 1, 2, 3, it still depends on parents. Especially in grade 1, sometimes parents have to come (to class), it's a hassle. Meanwhile, we have to keep our distance. haphazardly, there are rules", she said.

For information, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government held a trial of face-to-face learning (PTM) phase 1 in 226 schools. This number comes from 143 schools that have passed the training from 308 schools, as well as 83 schools that have previously piloted PTM projects.

Head of Public Relations of the DKI Education Office, Taga Radja Gah, said that the 83 schools that had implemented the PTM some time ago were not included in the pilot program.

"Currently, the PTM trial phase 1 yesterday was limited piloting. For now, I am correcting it because I just received information", said Taga, Tuesday, June 8.

In detail, 143 schools consist of 76 Elementary Schools, 1 Islamic Elementary School, 14 Junior High Schools, 3 Junior High Islamic Schools, 11 Senior High Schools, 1 Senior High Islamic School, 33 Vocational Schools, and 4 Course and Training Institutes. Plus, the 83 schools that have participated in the piloting are limited.

In today's PTM trial, Taga Radja Gah said the learning mechanism that will be carried out has not followed President Joko Widodo's direction.

"We are still using yesterday's piloting. We have to use what has been determined. We have not adopted what the President directs. We're using the existing one first", said Taga.
