Padang Police Socialize Health Protocol With Pocong Cosplay

PADANG - Padang Police, West Sumatra (West Sumatra) continues to disseminate information on compliance with COVID-19 health protocols (prokes) to the public, including through performances or "pocong cosplay".

The activity was carried out by Padang Police Traffic Unit personnel at one of the local shopping centers, namely Plaza Andalas (PA) Padang.

"In addition to taking action, we also provide education on the importance of obeying and disciplined health protocols," said Head of the Padang Police Traffic Unit, Police Commissioner Adjutant Alfin, as quoted by Antara, Thursday, June 3.

Traffic personnel who participated in the socialization were seen wearing pocong costumes and wheelchairs being paraded around the location.

In addition, in the action, the personnel also unfurled a banner with the data on those who died from COVID-19 on a national scale and the city of Padang.

He hopes that this activity can attract attention and spark public awareness of the dangers of COVID-19.

"Therefore, we ask the public to be disciplined in implementing health protocols, in order to protect themselves and others," said Police Commissioner Adjutant Alfin.

Some of the health protocols include wearing a mask, keeping a distance, avoiding crowds, and diligently washing hands.

Alfin said that the afternoon pocong cosplay was the second activity held by the Padang Police Traffic Unit.

According to him, similar activities will continue to be carried out regularly in the future by targeting crowded places.
