COVID-19 Update As Of June 2: 5.246 New Cases, 185 Dead Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 64.830 specimens were examined with the result that there were 5.246 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1.831.773 people and today's active cases have fallen by 961 to 100.346 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, June 2.
Today's recovered cases increased by 6.022 cases, bringing the total to 1.680.501 people recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 185 people and a total of 50.908 people.
The province with the most new cases was in West Java with 938 cases and a total of 315.771 cases. Followed by Central Java which has 739 new cases with a total of 201.676 cases. Riau has 615 new cases and a total of 61.137 cases. Then, DKI Jakarta has 601 new cases and a total of 431.179 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 2.877 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 584 recovered cases, Riau with an additional 579 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 204 recovered cases.
There are three provinces that reported no new cases today. Provinces that reported zero new cases were Southeast Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 16.869.118.
"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate has reached 13.93 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 63.643 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.
Currently, there are 16.766.263 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 10.852.984 of the second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the total target of vaccination stages 1 and 2 reached 40.349.049 people.
