Sad News Coming From Central Sulawesi, The COVID-19 Death Toll Reached 365 People

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Data and Information Center (Pusdatina) of Central Sulawesi (Sulteng) Province, Moh. Haris Kariming stated that the positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the area reached 12.879 cases in 13 districts and one city.

"Of the 12.879 people, 12.255 people have recovered, 365 people have died and 259 people are still undergoing quarantine independently or at service centers", Haris said in Palu City, as reported by Antara, Saturday, May 29.

Today, four COVID-19 patients have been declared cured. The four people were in a number of areas, including three in Buol Regency and one in Poso.

Then 35 people were confirmed positive for COVID-19 today, including 11 people in Poso Regency, 10 people in Buol, nine people in Banggai, two people in Tolitoli and Palu, one person in Parigi Moutong

"The four COVID-19 patients, two each in Buol Regency, one in Poso and Tolitoli, were declared dead today", he said.

Haris asked the public to support the supervisory team of the district and city Health Offices in Central Sulawesi who conducted searches on people who had contact with positive COVID-19 patients.

In addition, he appealed to residents to continue to apply health protocols to prevent the transmission and spread of COVID-19.

"This is done by wearing a mask, washing hands, and keeping a distance, and staying away from crowds. This step is very important to do to break the chain of spread and transmission of COVID-19 in Central Sulawesi", he said.
