Garbage Truck Overturned In Cipinang Muara Due To Overtaking Motorcycles

The Sub-Department of Transportation (Sudinhub) and the East Jakarta Environmental Sub-Department (LH) evacuated a garbage truck that overturned in the Kalimalang area, precisely on Jalan Laksamana Malahayati, Cipinang Muara, Jatinegara, Thursday, December 11.

"The evacuation process took about an hour because the garbage had to be vacated first. After that, the overturned truck was evacuated," said Head of the Jatinegara Sub-district Transportation Unit, Agustang, ANTARA.

The truck with police number B 9761 TOQ belonged to the West Jakarta LH Sub-dept. who drove from Cawang to Bekasi at around 03.00 WIB.

Arriving at the scene of the incident, the truck avoided a motorbike trying to overtake and speed up.

The truck driver, who admitted to panic, immediately swerved to the right and hit the u-turn barrier barrier across from Jalan Cipinang Balai III.

"As a result, trucks rolled over and garbage scattered to vacant land under the Becakayu toll road," said Agustang.

The evacuation mobilized a crane, a garbage truck, and an excavator type of heavy equipment carried out at around 08.00 to 09.00 WIB. After being evacuated, the truck was immediately taken to the West Jakarta LH Sub-dept. by the driver.

"There were no casualties or injuries in this incident," said Agustang.

Dozens of West Jakarta LH task forces (Satgas) also immediately moved garbage scattered under the Becakayu Toll Road to be disposed of to the Bantar Gebang TPST, Bekasi.

"The garbage load is very large, full," said Agustang.
