Police Arrest Man Who Often Makes Tanjung Priok Residents Uneasy

The Tanjung Priok Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested a motorcycle thief specialist with the initials M on Jalan Agung Timur 8, Sunter Jaya Village, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta.

"Currently, the perpetrator with the initials M has been named a suspect and detained by the Tanjung Priok Police for the investigation process," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanjung Priok Police, AKP Handam Samudro when confirmed, Friday, November 21.

From the results of the examination, suspect M has many police reports related to the crime of motorcycle theft in the Tanjung Priok area.

"We identified three police reports (LP) of the theft of motorized vehicles committed by the perpetrators in Tanjung Priok," he said.

Suspect M committed various crimes along with his gang who are still at large.

"For the gang suspected of being together with the perpetrators when carrying out the action, they are still in pursuit," he said.

The arrest of the suspect began with a member of the Tanjung Priok Police Criminal Investigation Unit who received information from the public that on Jalan Agung Timur had been arrested by the perpetrators of the motor vehicle theft attempt.

"The Tanjung Priok Police Buser Team has secured the alleged perpetrator along with evidence of equipment brought by the perpetrators in carrying out their actions," he said.

Based on the results of development and analysis, suspect M committed theft in various locations in Tanjung Priok.

Even after CCTV footage evidence of a number of theft events were analyzed by investigators, it showed a resemblance to the perpetrator M who was arrested.

"The perpetrator has admitted that he had committed acts of motor vehicle theft in warakas and Ganggeng roads, Sungai Bambu Village, Tanjung Priok," he said.
