Bareskrim Polri Reveals Case Of Conceding Buying And Selling Crypto Assets From England
The Directorate of Cyber Crime, Bareskrim Polri, revealed that the case of buying and selling access to cryptocurrencies came from London, England with the initials suspect HS, in Bandung, West Java.
Wadirtipidsiber Bareskrim Polri Kombes Andri Sudarmadi Situs said the site that the suspect had broken into was a market.com with a company called Viabelip International United.
"Regarding the presence of users who manipulated the purchase of crypto assets," said Kombes Andri Sudarmadi, at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Thursday, November 20.
Andri explained that this case began with a report from Finalto International Limited regarding users who manipulated crypto asset purchase transactions on the Markets.com platform. As a result of this action, the company suffered losses of up to Rp6.67 billion.
"Investigators then conducted a search of the flow of funds and fake accounts belonging to the perpetrators so that in the end the perpetrator, who is an Indonesian citizen with the initials HS, was arrested on September 15, 2025, in Bandung Regency, West Java Province," he said.
HS is known to have a profession as an accessories distributor and computer equipment, and has known about crypto trading since 2017. He said the perpetrators used four fictitious accounts after knowing the site's weaknesses.
"By utilizing these anomalies, the platform system automatically provides a nominal USDT (world currency) according to the figures inputted by the perpetrators in the deposit feature," said Andri.

"HS then created four fake accounts on behalf of Hendra, Eko Saldi, Arief Prayoga, and Tosin, the identity data was obtained by the suspect from the opensea.io site in the form of an e-KTP," he continued.
Evidence has been confiscated from the suspect including: 1 laptop, 1 cellphone, 1 com wallet unit containing Rp266,801 USDT or equivalent Rp4,455,578,370. Then, 1 priority ATM card unit, 1 CPU unit, and 1 shophouse with an area of 152 square meters located in Bandung Regency, West Java Province.
"The suspect is threatened with a maximum prison sentence of 15 years and a maximum fine of 15 billion rupiah," he said.
