Eight Suspects In The Case Of Allegations Of Jokowi's Fake Diplomas Are Prohibited From Going Abroad

The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Budi Hermanto, explained that his party had sent a letter of isolation to immigration to eight suspects for alleged fake diplomas of former President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) so as not to leave the country.

Budi revealed that the demarcation was carried out after the eight people were suspects. According to him, this is to ensure they do not flee abroad during the investigation process.

"Eight people, after being named suspects. This means that to avoid them going abroad," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Budi Hermanto when contacted by the media Thursday, November 20, 2025.

However, these suspects are still allowed to go out of town as long as they still fulfill their reporting obligations.

"If you go out of town, you can go to Semarang, to Bali. But as long as he is obliged to report, he must attend," he said.

Budi emphasized that the mandatory reporting process for eight suspects is required to come to the Polda Metro Jaya, once a week, every Thursday during the investigation process.
