Strong Winds Damaged 144 Houses In 6 Lampung Districts

JAKARTA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) stated that as many as six districts in Lampung Province were affected by strong winds due to extreme weather.

"Natural disasters have hit several districts in Lampung Province, there are already six affected districts, and the most recent is in Mesuji Regency," said Lampung Province BPBD Disaster Analyst Wahyu Hidayat when contacted in Bandarlampung, Friday, confiscated by Antara.

He said the six districts affected by the strong winds were in East Lampung, Pesawaran, Way Kanan, Tulang Bawang Barat, Central Lampung and Mesuji Regencies.

"There were no casualties from November 1 to yesterday (November 6, 2025), but for damage to houses, both heavily damaged, moderately damaged and lightly damaged there were 144 units," he said.

He explained that as many as 144 houses were damaged in the 6 districts, in detail 27 houses were heavily damaged, 28 houses were moderately damaged and 89 housing units were slightly damaged.

"If it is classified based on the affected district, in East Lampung Regency there is one house heavily damaged, one unit moderately damaged, Pesawaran Regency there are six heavily damaged houses, 10 housing units moderately damaged, and 37 housing units lightly damaged," he said.

Furthermore, Way Kanan Regency, there were four heavily damaged houses, 10 moderately damaged houses, in Tulang Bawang Barat Regency there were 13 heavily damaged houses, and 21 houses were lightly damaged, Central Lampung Regency there were two heavily damaged units, seven moderately damaged units and 30 lightly damaged units. Meanwhile, Mesuji Regency, there was one house with heavy damage and one unit lightly damaged.

"Natural disasters in the form of strong winds in Mesuji Regency occurred on November 5 to be precise in Tri Karya Mulya Village, Tanjung Raya District, and Harapan Mukti Village, Tanjung Raya District at 21.30 WIB. The incident caused a fallen tree that hit the roof of a resident's house with damage to the roof starting to be light to heavy due to strong winds," he added.

According to him, the Rapid Response Team team accompanied by the Secretary of the Mesuji Regency BPBD has gone to the location to collect data and help affected residents.

"Of course with this natural disaster event, we ask the public to be aware of the threat of strong winds due to the transition of the season, namely entering the wet hydrometeorological phase, and BMKG has also given a strong warning of strong winds," he said.
