Barcelona Reaches An Agreement With Aguero, A Contract Until 2023 With A Salary Of IDR 8.7 Billion Per Year

JAKARTA - Barcelona has reportedly reached an agreement to bring Sergio Aguero on a free transfer this summer.

The 32-year-old's contract has expired at Manchester City and looks set to return to La Liga after a decade of playing in the English Premier League.

According to a MARCA report as reported by Antara on Thursday, Barcelona has reached an agreement to bring in Aguero without having to pay a fee due to his status as a free transfer player.

The Argentine will reportedly earn a salary of five million euros (around IDR 87.6 billion) per year at the Camp Nou and agree to a two-year contract.

Aguero's arrival to Barcelona is also in line with their efforts to persuade Lionel Messi to stay at the club after this summer.

As is well known, Aguero is a close friend of Messi since the two of them played with the Argentine national team at a junior level.

Aguero is the top scorer in City history with 258 goals in 387 appearances in all competitions.

The 32-year-old Argentine spent five years in La Liga for Atletico Madrid before moving to City in 2011.

Aguero is currently aiming for a treble in his final season with City, while the club has won the League Cup, reached the Champions League final, and is certain to win the English Premier League 2020-21 season.
