Homecoming Ban Ends, Here's The Travel Conditions In Jakarta Starting Today
JAKARTA - The eid al-Fitr homecoming period ends on Monday, May 17 at 00.00 a.m. local time. Today, the tightening period after the homecoming ban comes into force until May 24.
Starting today, travelers no longer need to apply for an entry permit (SIKM) as a condition of traveling across regions. This refers to the COVID-19 Task Force Circular Letter Number 13 of 2021 and Regulation of the Minister of Transportation No. 13 of 2021.
"We are still guided by existing regulations. SIKM is valid until Monday at 00.00 a.m. local time. After that, based on regulation, SIKM is no longer needed", said Head of Transportation Office of DKI Syafrin Liputo, Monday, May 17.
During the tightening period after the elimination of Eid homecoming, travelers traveling by air, rail, sea, and sea crossings in the two weeks before and one week after the homecoming ban are required to show a certificate of negative test results of PCR or rapid test antigen from their neighborhoods whose samples are taken a maximum of 1x24 hours before departure.
If you wish to use GeNose, it is done shortly before departure. Then, travelers are required to fill e-HAC Indonesia.

Special routine travel with sea transportation mode for limited shipping in the area of one sub-district/district/province or urban agglomeration area (Jabodetabek) is not required to show a letter of negative test results.
Protocol on-road public transportation travelers will be conducted a random test of antigen rapid test or GeNose by COVID-19 Task Force of their respective regions.
However, the Department of Transportation (Dishub) together with the ranks of the Directorate of Traffic (Dirlantas) of the regional Police (Polda Metro Jaya) will still conduct backflow blocking after Eid al-Fitr at Cikampek Toll Road km 34.
Syafrin claimed the sealing by the combined team was quite effective in controlling the travelers. Because police in a number of provinces will attach stickers for vehicles whose passengers have COVID-19 free letters.
"As soon as the goods vehicle passes, the private vehicles will be checked if they already have stickers issued by the police, ranging from East Java, West Java, DI Yogyakarta, and Banten also issued", said Syafrin.
"If there is already a sticker, then automatically they have been checked at the previous sealing post, so that the concerned can cross", he added.
However, if any vehicle is found to have not affixed a sticker during sealing, the passengers inside will be carried out an antigen test. If there are passengers who are reactive to COVID-19 they will be immediately taken to Wisma Atlet Kemayoran.
In addition, KAI Commuter will resume operating the KRL Commuter Line service until 22.00 p.m. local time starting Tuesday, May 18. Previously, during the eid homecoming ban period, the KRL only operated until 20.00 p.m.
Not only that, the Department of Tourism and Creative Economy of DKI will return the operational time of restaurants to 21.00 p.m. after Ramadan ends. This rule is as it applies during the micro-scale restrictions on community activities (PPKM) period before Ramadan.
