Russia Fires 500 Drones And Missiles Overnight, Ukraine Is Looking For Bekingan
JAKARTA - Russia fired more than 500 drones and two dozen missiles into Ukraine overnight on Wednesday, September 3 local time. Ukrainian President Vlodymyr Zelenskyy immediately sought support in response to Russia.
Citing AP, Thursday 4 September, Zelensky revealed that Russia's main shooting target at night was civilian infrastructure, especially Ukraine's energy facilities, as the following winter approaches.
The attack primarily targeted western and central Ukraine, resulting in at least five injuries.
Although US President Donald Trump is trying to stop fighting, Russian airstrikes to crush Ukraine's defenses along the 1.000-kilometer (620-mile) frontline have not subsided in recent months.
The Russian attack continued as well after Zelensky accepted Trump's proposal for a ceasefire and face-to-face peace negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. On the one hand, Russia has voiced its objections to the proposal.
Trump and Zelensky are scheduled to discuss the matter today, Thursday local time. A White House official said the discussion plan had not been officially announced.
