Ahead Of Eid Al-Fitr Holidays, The DKI Provincial Government Called Entrepreneurs Want The Tourist Attractions To Be Opened
JAKARTA - Head of the Tourism Industry Division of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) Dedi Sumardi said entrepreneurs hoped the government would open tourist attractions during this year's Eid holiday.
"If they want to open it, it's a matter of income from them. Hopefully, this Eid can cover a little of the shortage so far", said Dedi when contacted, Friday, May 7.
However, during the prohibition period of Eid homecoming from May 6 to 17, tourist attractions are still open. It's just that, currently, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan is still considering the operation of the tourism places during Eid al-Fitr, May 13 and 14.

This is because the regional Police (Polda Metro Jaya) asked Anies to close tourist attractions during the Eid Al-Fitr holidays, such as Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Ancol, Ragunan Zoo, and white sand beaches in PIK.
"At that time at the Regional Police in order to minimize, prevent the spread of COVID-19 during the holiday period. Incidentally, tourist attractions are the main target for people on vacation. So, the regional police want tourist attractions to be closed", he said.
"So, specifically for tourist attractions, there is a suggestion to rearrange the management during Eid holidays", he added.
