Iran's Supreme Leader Advisor: We No Longer Trust America
Iran's Supreme Leader Advisor, Ali Larijani, said Tehran was reviewing a message from Washington regarding the possible resumption of nuclear negotiations, according to Iranian media.
However, Larijani emphasized that his party did not trust the United States at all.
"We no longer have confidence in America," he was quoted as saying by the ISNA news agency as reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Saturday, July 12.
He criticized America's approach, which based on the principles of countries having to give up or go to war.
"The new Middle East, will be a tough Middle East," he said.
Iran on Tuesday (8/7) denied US President Donald Trump's statement about Iran's request to hold a meeting on Tehran's nuclear program.
"We did not submit any requests to the US regarding the meeting," said the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmaeil Baqaei, in a statement delivered by the state-run Tasnim news agency.

Trump previously said on Monday (7/7) Washington would hold nuclear negotiations with Iran.
"We have scheduled negotiations with Iran, and they want to negotiate," Trump told reporters while side by side with Israeli Chief Authority Chief Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House.
On June 22, US-owned B-2 bombers brought down 14 GBU-57Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) bombs, also known as bunker-destroying bombs, to Iran's nuclear sites in Fordo and Natanz.
Dozens of submarine-based Tomahawk cruise missiles were also launched to nuclear facilities in Isfahan as part of the Washington attack on Iran's nuclear program.
The sixth round of negotiations between the US and Iran is scheduled for June 15, but Israel launched airstrikes on Iranian military, nuclear and civilian targets on June 13.
The 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran ended with a US-sponsored ceasefire taking effect on June 24.
