Will Jokowi Reshuffle His Ministers Again After Eid Al-Fitr?
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is said to be reshuffling the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet after Eid-al-Fitr 2021. Previously, Wednesday, April 28, Jokowi had carried out a cabinet reshuffle following a change in the nomenclature of the ministries. There are two ministers and one head of the body appointed by Jokowi. First, Nadiem Makarim was appointed Minister of Education and Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbud-Ristek). Then, Bahlil Lahadalia as Minister of Investment, and Laksana Tri Handoko as Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).
However, the public suspects that there will be another reshuffle in the cabinet of the Jokowi-Ma'ruf government after yesterday's inauguration. It is alleged that the reshuffle will replace the ministers who are not performing well recently.
This 'reshuffle again' signal was also revealed by parties supporting the government, although it was not clearly explained.
PDIP politician Darmadi Durianto assessed that rather than reshuffling being done twice, it is better just to be effective.
Darmadi's statement, of course, there is a question about 'twice', is there really going to be another renovation?
"Because this is the fasting period when Eid will come soon, the preparation for Eid. This must be effective so that goods do not increase, distribution is smooth. So it is better to postpone it, but it depends on how the president sees it," Darmadi told VOI, Wednesday, April 28.
"But yes, it means that twice the people's energy is concentrated there (reshuffle, red)," he added.

"It just hasn't found the political momentum yet," said Dedi, Thursday, April 29.
He considered the inauguration of the minister yesterday was due to the nomenclature of the Ministry of Investment and Ministry of Education and Culture of Research and Technology did not change the personnel who filled the institution.
"With this condition, the next reshuffle is still in the plan, especially some ministries are still not working well, such as the food import polemic," he said.
