30 Soldiers Killed, Myanmar Military Regime Enters Negotiations In Chin State
JAKARTA - At least 30 soldiers were killed and 20 others detained when the Myanmar military regime proposed negotiations with armed civilian forces, to then leave Mindat City.

As in Mindat City, Chin State, the Myanmar military regime suffered a crushing blow, when at least 30 of its soldiers died in a grueling series of battles over several days against the Chinland Defense Force (CDF).
"Three people died on Saturday when four days of fighting began and 17 others died in the two clashes later", said a fighter from the newly formed CDF, as reported by Myanmar Now, Friday, April 30.
"Many of them died in the fighting yesterday. At least 10 of them. Nobody from the CDF was killed or injured, he added. Myanmar Now was unable to independently verify the figure.
Described by him, the fighting started when a group of protesters near the statue of Aung San in the city center, demanded the release of six of their detained comrades.
The atmosphere changed after a member of regime forces reportedly shot residents, causing protesters to retaliate. the situation quickly escalated into four days of fighting, when the Myanmar military regime sent in troop reinforcements.
The CDF was able to ambush the troops sent outside the city, with the battlefield in the form of mountains that made it difficult for regime soldiers, but not the CDF who controlled the terrain.
The Myanmar military regime also proposed a ceasefire and asked for negotiations with the CDF on Tuesday, April 27. The military regime also requested an exchange of prisoners
The fighting quickly escalated into a four-day battle when the junta sent reinforcements into the city, with CDF members ambushing their trucks before they arrived.
"The CDF allowed 20 soldiers of the Myanmar military regime who were trapped about 30 miles west of Mindat, to leave the area. Meanwhile, seven residents who were detained have been released", said the CDF fighter.
"The deal was made around 9 p.m. The deal was that their people had to get out of Mindat and they left Mindat last night", he continued.
Meanwhile, the leader of the Myanmar military regime's anti-coup protests from Mindat Nway Oo Zalat said the success of the CDF in making many Myanmar soldiers killed and detained was the factor of the surprise and ambush carried out in mountainous areas.
"Because we are hunters, we are very familiar with our territory. We are also strong-minded in our beliefs. We are very united", he said.
