PPP Party Considering Anies Baswedan In The 2024 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - It seems that Islamic parties will seriously discuss Anies Baswedan as a presidential candidate. Not only PKS Party, but PPP Party also opens opportunities for the governor of DKI Jakarta to participate in the 2024 presidential election.

The PPP Party Deputy Chairperson admitted that there was pressure from the Muslim community to carry Anies. "There are a number of elements of society who have asked PPP to consider Anies as a presidential candidate", said Arsul, Wednesday, April 28. According to Arsul, PPP Party will certainly consider the aspirations of the community. Until now, he said, his party still opened wide opportunities for names proposed by the public. "Later it will be discussed in accordance with the existing mechanisms and deliberation forums in the PPP Party", he said.

Chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of PKS Party Mardani Ali Sera admitted that his party continued to open communication with Anies Baswedan.

"Communication continues to be open. Especially with Anies Baswedan", said Mardani to VOI, Tuesday, April 27. According to him, PKS Party has maintained good relations with the two of them. Thus, the opportunity for communication between national leaders in the future is still wide open.
