Entrepreneurs Have Received Many Incentives, Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah Asked Companies To Comply Pay THR

JAKARTA - Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah hopes that employers will obey the religious holiday allowance (THR) to workers this year in full and on time. Given that currently, it has entered D-11 from the time limit set by the government in the payment of THR, namely D-7 before the Eid Al-Fitr Religious Day 2021.

Furthermore, he said, this hope was based on the government's steps to provide a lot of incentives for entrepreneurs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Because the government has provided a lot of incentives, the hope is that there will be compliance from entrepreneurs to pay this THR," he said in a virtual discussion, Monday, April 26.

According to Ida, the full THR payment will have a positive impact on the economy, because it will boost people's purchasing power, especially workers or laborers. This is because the increase in consumption will have an impact on the increasing economic turnover which is getting faster.

"Based on this, the government is committed this year that the 2021 THR must be paid in full and in accordance with the provisions of the legislation. Because in early 2021, the government has issued various incentives to employers, to restore economic movement by paying THR to workers/laborers," he said.

The government, said Ida, is very serious in paying the THR in 2021. Because this is an instrument to quickly restore the Indonesian economy. The seriousness of this can be seen by the promotion of the THR Post and the involvement of Workers' Unions (SP) or Labor Unions (SB) and Employers who are members of the National Wage Council as the monitoring team for the THR Post.

"The involvement of SP or SB and Entrepreneurs who are members of the National Wage Council aims so that the implementation of THR payments in 2021 can be transparent and carried out well," she said.

Ida said that the government has provided an allowance for the THR payment deadline for entrepreneurs who are still affected by the COVID-19 pandemic with a maximum of D-1 before Eid has been paid. Ida said, employers who are late in paying the THR and pass the H-1 Lebaran deadline, there will be a sanction of 5 percent of the THR amount that must be paid to workers.

"Meanwhile, for entrepreneurs who do not pay the THR, the sanctions range from reprimands to restrictions on business activities," he said.

With the economic condition in the recovery phase, and the economic situation is much better than the previous period, Ida believes that the condition of the businessmen has improved and is able to pay the THR in full and on time.

Ida Fauziyah said the government has also provided many incentives to entrepreneurs. According to him, employers can contribute more in restoring economic movement by paying THR to workers.
