Hasto Kubu Hopes Pretrial Postponement Is Not A Reason, KPK: Just Sah There Is A View
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is casually facing the statement of the PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto who hopes that the legal bureau team's request for pretrial postponement should not be just a trick. Anyone entitled to this kind of assessment.
"It's fine if there are parties who have such views," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters in a written statement, Monday, March 3.
Even so, Tessa ensured that her agency would work according to applicable regulations. "All these actions can be tested, including one of them through this pretrial mechanism," said a spokesman with the investigator's background.
Hasto's legal team, Maqdir Ismail hopes that the absence of the anti-corruption commission in today's pretrial, Monday, March 3, is not just a trick. The KPK was asked to follow the pretrial process.
Hasto filed two pretrial lawsuits because he did not accept being named a suspect in the bribery case for the interim replacement (PAW) of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives and the obstruction to the investigation of the bribery case involving Harun Masiku.
These two lawsuits were filed by Hasto's camp after the South Jakarta District Court (PN) Judge did not accept the pretrial filed some time ago.
"We hope that this is not a trick so that the KPK can complete the case file and then they will hand over the case file," said Maqdir to reporters at the South Jakarta District Court.
Maqdir said that his party had surrendered, such as the KPK submitting the file to the trial of corruption. Provided, the process is carried out after the pretrial lawsuit is rejected.
"Then, for example, later this pretrial decision rejects our petition, so they are welcome to hand over the case file. After all, what we are testing is very important later on to have a main case," said the lawyer.

Previously reported, the KPK developed an interim replacement bribery (PAW) case that ensnared former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan and his fugitive, Harun Masiku. Two people were later named as suspects, namely PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and Donny Tri Istiqomah who are PDIP cadres as well as lawyers.
Hasto is also a suspect in the obstruction of the investigation. He is suspected of trying to obstruct the legal process, one of which is by asking Harun to damage his cellphone and run away after the arrest operation (OTT) was carried out.
Now, Hasto has been detained for the first 20 days at the KPK detention center since last Thursday, February 20. This forced effort can be extended according to the needs of investigators.
Meanwhile, Donny Tri Istiqomah has not been arrested. However, investigators have examined him on February 3.
