Collaborating With Grab, Pertamina Builds Fast Charging Electric Vehicle Charging Station At Soekarno Hatta Airport
JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) supports the government's program to accelerate the growth of the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia. To make this happen, Pertamina is partnering with Grab Indonesia in the development of a Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU).
President Director of PT Pertamina Nicke Widyawati said that Pertamina strives to be able to contribute to reducing CO2 in Indonesia by supporting Presidential Regulation Number 55 of 2019 regarding the acceleration of the battery-based electric motor vehicle (KBLBB) program.
"Pertamina and Grab are committed to collaborating in developing the fast charging SPKLU business. Starting in the Soekarno Hatta Airport area, which is an area with fairly high mobility and traffic", she said at a press conference and Virtual Grab, Green Steps exhibition, Thursday, April 22.
Through synergy with Grab, said Nicke Widyawati, Pertamina believes that this collaboration will lead to positive things to support the government's direction in the process of accelerating the battery-based electric motorbike program in Indonesia.
Currently, said Nicke, Pertamina has developed six fast-charging types of public electric vehicle charging stations or SPKLUs, which are scattered in gas stations and other strategic locations in DKI Jakarta and Banten Provinces.
"In the SPKLU operation, it will be self-service and cashless by prioritizing easy filling for vehicle owners", she said.
