Israel Still Blocks Gaza's Entry Aid, Arab League Asks International Communities To Monitor

JAKARTA - The Arab league encourages the international community to pressure Israel to allow more humanitarian aid to enter Gaza.

This was conveyed by Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League, Hossam Zaki considering that the current entry of aid into Gaza which was destroyed by the Israeli military attack had not yet reached the appropriate stage and amount.

"The current rate of entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip is still unacceptable both humanely and morally," Zaki said at a press conference on the Egyptian side of the Rafah border point on Saturday, February 15 local time, quoted by Anadolu via Egypt Al-Qahera News.

Zaki also encouraged the international community to pressure Israel to allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza.

Previously, Hamas had repeatedly complained about Israel's continued attitude in preventing humanitarian aid from entering Gaza, especially for the evacuation tent assistance commodity.

As a result of the blockade that he has not ended for nearly 18 years, Israel has made Gaza the world's largest open prison.

Israel's deliberate aid entry restrictions forced nearly two million of the 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza to flee amid shortages of food, water, and medicines.

Meanwhile, the ceasefire, which has been in effect since January 19, temporarily ended Israel's aggression against the Gaza Strip which caused more than 48,200 people, mostly women and children, and resulted in major destruction in the enclave.
