Ciduk Pria Ancam Istri Using Assembled Firearms In Garut, Police Search From Senpi
The police arrested a man in Garut Regency who allegedly threatened his wife with a homemade revolver. The perpetrator was arrested to undergo legal examination and at the same time investigate the origin of the assembled rifle.
"Currently, the perpetrators are still being investigated to find out the motive and origin of the firearms," said Head of the Garut Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Joko in Garut, Sunday, February 16, as reported by Antara.
He said the man with the initials VR (32), a resident of Garut Kota Subdistrict, had to be secured by the police after reports from the public regarding the alleged crime of threatening his wife using a revolver-type homemade firearm.
The victim's initials DM (28), said Joko, based on a temporary examination, admitted that he had received two threats from the perpetrators using the homemade firearm at his house, Banyu Mukti Housing, Banyuresmi District, Garut, Saturday, February 15.
He conveyed that there were reports from the community, his staff immediately moved quickly to check the scene of the case, then secured the perpetrators and confiscated evidence of one homemade firearm and three bullets.
"Thanks to a quick report from the public, we immediately secured the perpetrators before anything worse happened," he said.
Furthermore, the police conducted an examination of VR to explore the ownership and origin of the homemade firearms carried by the perpetrators and used to threaten his wife.
The police will take firm action against anyone who is proven to own or use illegal firearms.
The police urge the public to always report all incidents that have the potential to endanger security and public order so that they can be handled immediately.
