The Ministry Of Law Proposes Budget Reconstruction To Be IDR 3.3 Trillion

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Law proposes budget reconstruction to be IDR 3.3 trillion in the context of budget efficiency for the 2025 fiscal year, in accordance with Presidential Instruction Number 1 of 2025 concerning Expenditure and Implementation Efficiency of the APBN and APBD.

"By taking into account the priority needs of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to carry out their duties and functions, the Ministry of Law proposes a budget reconstruction of Rp3,388,313,122,000," said Deputy Minister of Law Eddy Hilariej during a meeting with Commission XIII of the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Thursday, February 13.

Based on a letter from the Minister of Finance on January 24, 2024, the Ministry of Law's budget was approved or blocked by Rp2,283,394,000,000 or 45.07 percent of the total ceiling of Rp5,066,600,725,000.

However, for the purposes of personnel spending and operational needs, the Ministry of Law proposes that the budget blocking be reduced by Rp605,106,397,000, so that the blocking is only Rp1,678,287,603,000.

With the budget reconstruction policy, according to him, the Ministry of Law can still carry out its duties and functions, starting from the establishment of regulations for the preparation of national priority laws, the establishment of regulations, and national law development.

In addition, it also implements law enforcement and service programs, to improve the quality of general law administration for information technology-based intellectual property.

Although its efficiency is reduced, he said that the Ministry of Law implements strategic steps to optimize the available budget. Among them are the implementation of flexible work programs for employees, efficiency of operational and non-operational spending which includes ATK, ceremonial activities.

Then his party will also carry out priority activities, optimize digital-based services, training through distance learning mechanisms, to optimize information and communication technology.
