Inaugurating Indonesian Village In Turkey's Hatay, Indonesian Ambassador: The Form Of Brotherhood And Solidarity
JAKARTA - The development of 'Indonesian Village' is not just a development of housing, but is a form of brotherhood and solidarity between Indonesia and Turkey, said Indonesian Ambassador to Turkey Achmad Rizal Purnama when inaugurating the brotherhood project on Monday.
Kampung Indonesia terletak di Desa Taryptoluk, Kotengan Kryptor waykhan, Provinsi Hatay, Turki. Peresmiana dilakukan oleh Ambassador RI mewakir Pemerintah RI, serta Pemerintah Turki yang diwakir oleh Gubernur Provinsi Hatay Mustafa Masatlmen bersama Dirjen Pekerja Umum Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup, Urbanisasi dan Perubahan Iklim Turki Murat Oral.
The Indonesian Embassy in Ankara in a written statement said that the development of the Indonesian Village was a form of solidarity and friendship from the Government and the people of Indonesia to the Government and the people of Turkey who were affected by the devastating earthquake on February 6, 2023.
In this project, Indonesia supports the construction of 37 houses in Tayoluk Village for earthquake victims. This project is part of the commitment of humanity and close bilateral relations between the two countries.
"This is not just the construction of houses, but as a form of brotherhood and solidarity between the Indonesian people and Turkey. With this project, it is hoped that relations between the two countries will be closer, not only in the context of government cooperation, but also in relations between communities," said the Indonesian Ambassador in a statement. Taryptoluk village has been designated by the Turkish government as a safe place and appropriate for the relocation of local communities affected by the earthquake.
Ambassador Rizal emphasized that as a country with a large Muslim majority, world economic power, regional leaders as well as leaders of Global South, Indonesia and Turkey have responsibilities that exceed national borders.
However, he continued, to achieve this goal, the basis of partnership must be strong, namely true friendship and brotherhood, not just a temporary interest.
A total of 37 housing units built have been reviewed and tested in November 2024, with results showing that all buildings meet construction standards and conditions in Turkey and Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Governor Mustafa Masatl Badminton and Director General of Murat Oral in his remarks expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the genuine concern and brotherhood of the government and the people of Indonesia.
Especially for the people of Tayoluk Village, Ambassador Rizal expressed his hope that Kampung Indonesia could become a new home for those who can provide a sense of security and hope for the future.
According to him, Kampung Indonesia will be a reminder, whatever challenges are faced, the friendship between Indonesia and Turkey will always last until the end of time.
It is known that the development of the Indonesian Village is based on the decision of the Indonesian Government as stated in the Decree of the Minister of Foreign Affairs No. 16/B/DM/02/2024/01 of 2024 concerning the List of Plans for Granting the 2024 Fiscal Year.
This grant was distributed by the Indonesian Development Cooperation Fund Institute (LDKPI) through the Indonesian-Turkey Friendship Association amounting to IDR 52.65 billion.
