KPU Kaltim Sets Rudy-Seno Elected Governor-Deputy Governor
SAMARINDA - The General Election Commission (KPU) of East Kalimantan appointed the pair Rudy Masud and Seno Aji as the elected Governor and Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan for the period 2025-2030.
"Based on the details of the legal vote acquisition, Rudy Masud and Seno Aji managed to collect 996,339 votes, or 55.56 percent of the total valid votes," said KPU Kaltim chairman Fahmi Idris in an open plenary meeting that took place in Samarinda, Thursday, February 6.
Rudy-Seno's announcement as elected governors was based on Decree Number 14/PL.02.7/BA/64/2025 concerning the Determination of the Governor and Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan 2025-2030.
Rudy Masud, who was accompanied by Seno Aji, expressed his gratitude to all the people of East Kalimantan who have participated in the 2024 gubernatorial election process (Pilgub).
"We stand here as a mandate from the people of East Kalimantan who are responsible for welcoming East Kalimantan to advance, the golden generation, and Indonesia to gold," said Rudy.
He also highlighted the importance of the decision of the Indonesian Constitutional Court (MK) which provides legal certainty over the election results. He is optimistic that this decision is the best for the people of East Kalimantan.
Rudy expressed his hope that all elements of the people of East Kalimantan can collaborate and accelerate together in the development of the region that has now become the capital city of the archipelago (IKN).
"Kaltim must improve. There is a lot of homework in front of us, ranging from infrastructure, education, to other development," explained Rudy.

Rudy also conveyed the need for constructive criticism from various parties to create better East Kalimantan, especially in alleviating poverty in the region.
"God willing, we will accelerate together. We really need constructive criticism, especially in alleviating poverty in East Kalimantan," he concluded.
