Israel Attacks Gaza During The Substitution Of The Year, The Number Of Palestinian Deaths Increases To 45,553 People
JAKARTA - The death toll in Palestine continues to grow, along with attacks carried out during the New Year, when the latest conflict in the enclave lasted 15 months.
The Israeli military continued to attack northern Gaza on Wednesday, medics said, asking residents in the central part of the Palestinian enclave to flee the area where militants allegedly used to fire rockets.
The airstrike in Shejaia, a suburb of Gaza, killed at least eight Palestinians, according to local emergency services, quoted by Reuters on January 2.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military, and it was not clear who was killed in the attack.
While in al-Buryij, the Israeli military said it had attacked a militant operating in the area where rockets had been fired at Israel the previous day.
Prior to the attack, a military Arabic spokesman had ordered people to leave the area.
Israel continues its genocide attacks by completely ignoring the decision of the International Court (ICJ), which ordered Israel in a legally binding decision to stop its military offensive in Rafah, which could violate its obligations under the Genocide Convention, quoted from WAFA.
Most areas around the northern cities of Beit Hanoun, Jabalia, and Beit Lahiya have been cleared of residents and destroyed, sparking speculation, which Israel denies, that they intend to maintain the region as a buffer zone after the fighting in Gaza ends.
Israel says its nearly three-month military operation in northern Gaza is aimed at preventing Hamas militants from gathering again. Its instructions to civilians to evacuate are intended to keep them out of harm's way, the military said.

In addition, at least 10,000 people were unknown, allegedly killed under the rubble of their homes throughout the Gaza Strip.
Israel's aggression also resulted in the forced transfer of nearly two million people from across the Gaza Strip, with most refugees forced to the densely populated city of Rafah in the south near the border with Egypt in what has been the largest mass exodus of Palestine since Nakba 1948.
