BNNP DKI Raids Nightlife Places In North Jakarta
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) raided a number of nightclubs in Jakarta on Wednesday night, December 18 to Thursday, December 19, early in the morning.
"The raid was carried out to identify the presence of drugs, both those stored by visitors, as well as those that may be traded by certain elements," said Head of the DKI Jakarta BNNP Eradication Division, Kombes Edi CiptiNTO, Thursday, December 19.
The drug raids carried out by the DKI Jakarta BNNP were focused on a number of nightclubs, in the North Jakarta area which was allegedly a place for illicit drug trafficking.
"We do this so that there is no assumption that we only do it in certain places," he said.

The raid was carried out with an early detection process, namely urine examination and randomly selected identity from visitors.
"We checked a total of 35 urine samples with negative results, no one was indicated to have abused narcotics or psychotropic substances," he said.
Kombes Edi emphasized that drug abuse and other illegal acts would not be tolerated.
"Especially if it is done in places that should be a safe entertainment space," he said.
