Fired By PDIP, Jokowi: Yes, That's OK, I Respect

JAKARTA - Indonesia's 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) respects the decision of the PDI-P (PDIP) to fire him, his son Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and son-in-law Bobby Nasution.

“Yes, it's okay, I respect that,” he said in Solo, Central Java, Tuesday, December 17, quoted by Antara.

He admitted that he did not want to defend himself or seek justification regarding PDIP's attitude.

“I am not in a position to defend or pass judgment because the decision has already happened. Later time will test it, I think that's all,” he said.

Asked about returning his membership card (KTA) to the party, he only responded with a smile.

Meanwhile, regarding the possibility of him creating a new political party, he again mentioned individual parties.

“I have already said, individual parties,” he said.

Regarding the reason for the dismissal, he did not want to seek justification for it.

“I have already said, I am not in a position to defend or give an assessment, because it has already been decided. Later time will test it,” he said.
