Indonesian Syariah Bank Disburses Rp. 38 Trillion In Mortgage Financing During Q1 2021
JAKARTA - PT. Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) recorded Home Ownership Loan (KPR) financing of Rp. 38 trillion until the close of the first quarter of 2021. It is claimed that the company grew by 13.93 percent compared to the same period in 2020.
President Director of BSI Hery Gunardi said sharia mortgages launched by the company are non-subsidized mortgage facilities and subsidies supported by various stimulus from the government.
"Government stimulus in this housing segment makes us optimistic to continue to move the national housing business. Moreover, the vaccine program is running smoothly," he said in an official statement, Wednesday, April 14.
According to Hery, the property sector is still quite in demand by the public, especially millennials because it provides a tenor of payment of up to 30 years.
"We believe that growth this year will double digits in line with the projected economic growth in 2021 which is expected at 4.5 - 5.3 percent," he said.
Hery added that the company currently has several special financing programs to attract people using sharia products in buying a house.
"Our special programs are issued to make it more attractive, especially the younger generation, to want to use sharia products to have a residence," he said.

Currently, BSI has a number of housing financing products that can be chosen by the community according to their individual needs. The state-owned banking institution is also actively involved in the distribution of subsidized housing financing (KPR Sejahtera).
This year, BSI targets the distribution of Kpr Sejahtera to reach 14,000 customers with a value of Rp. 2 trillion.
In order to achieve these targets, the company will help accelerate the distribution of housing stimulus for the community. Meanwhile, during Ramadan this year BSI is known to have a number of financing programs including special pricing for selected customers in the form of margin starting from 3.3 percent.
In addition, there is also a down payment exemption facility for customers (DP 0 percent), and a gift of hajj tickets without being drawn for lucky customers.
"Through the company's superior products, and the government's commitment to continue to distribute housing financing subsidies, BSI is optimistic that all targets that have been announced since the beginning of the year can be achieved," Hery concluded.
