Polda Metro Bongkar TPPO Ordered Mode: Woman From West Java-West Kalimantan
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya uncovered a criminal case of trafficking in persons (TPPO) with a letter order brigade mode or an order bride. A total of nine people were named as suspects.
"The case of a criminal act of trafficking in persons is the modus operandi of a letter order brigade or an order bride and groom," said Director of the General Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Wira Satya Triputra, to reporters, Friday, December 6.
The suspects with the initials MW alias M, B, NH, LA, Y alias I, AS, RW, H alias CE, and N alias A.
With the order of the bride and groom, they are looking for Indonesian women (WNI) to marry a foreign citizen (WNA) from China.
"Taking advantage through marriage by providing Indonesian brides to Chinese citizens," he said.
In addition, in carrying out their actions, the victims were presented an agreement letter using foreign languages. So, do not understand what is stated in it.
"Many victims do not know and this agreement remembers the victim as a sponsor who is looking for and accommodating foreign men to marry Indonesian citizens," said Wira.
Regarding the series of disclosures of the TIP case, Wira said that information was obtained about two Indonesian shelters in Cengkareng and Pejaten.
From the initial information, the people who were accommodated there were originally placed in Semarang.
"From the actions against the two crime scenes, four Indonesian citizens, especially women, were arrested," he said.

In fact, one of the women who was accommodated was a minor. Then, it was developed until finally arrested the suspects.
In this TIP case, the suspects were charged with Article 4 and/or Article 6 in conjunction with Article 10 of Law Number 21 of 2007 concerning the Crime of Trafficking in Persons. They face 15 years in prison.
