Post-blast Repairs, Large Charged Vehicles Are Prohibited Through South Cianjur

The Cianjur Police Traffic Unit prohibits large vehicles from transporting cargo crossing the southern Cianjur main road from Cibeber to Sindangbarang.

Head of Cianjur Police Traffic Unit, AKP Anjar Maulana, said the ban was following a number of road runway points that had been repaired that were still unstable and prone to landslides.

"However, for the time being the Cianjur-Sindangbarang Highway can only be passed by small four-wheeled vehicles or minibuses, and motorbikes, for large vehicles, they have not been allowed to pass," he said in Cianjur Friday, December 6, which was confiscated by Antara.

The ban has not been confirmed how long it will take effect because the post-damblas road repair process is still being carried out by joint officers at a number of points, so it asks for delivery of goods to the southern region using small vehicles.

Including the distribution of food goods for a number of markets and shops in the southern region carried out in small vehicles, so that economic activities continue to run, including the distribution of logistical assistance for disaster victims.

"Economic needs can still pass with a note using small vehicles or minibuses, including sending aid logistics for disaster-affected areas," he said.

For the implementation of the ban on large vehicles entering the southern route of Cianjur, his party carried out an appeal and traffic regulation at Post Cebu 10 Jebrod to ensure that no heavy vehicles crossed Jalan Raya Cianjur-Sindangbarang.

A number of personnel from the Cianjur Police Traffic Unit were deployed to check several points on Jalan Raya Cianjur-Sindangbarang, including providing the latest information for road users who cross to the south of Cianjur.

"Currently, the route cannot be passed to Kadupandak and Cijati because it is still covered by landslides and collapsed, where joint officers are still making efforts and handling at several points," he said.
